It didn't take us long from Lakeland to Cooktown it was only about 79 km so we arrived here about 10-30am. It is very windy - bordering on gale force. We have a good spot at the caravan park but it is very shaded so at times is quite cold. We had a quick drive around the town and took a few photographs but other than that the day was spent reading our books in the sunshine - we had to sit behind the van to get out of the wind and to get some sunshine.
