Day 27 May 10 2012 - Blackall

We did a quick look around Tambo before driving 100 kms to Blackall.  Tambo is the oldest town in the Central West.  The information centre is located in the old Courthouse which dates back to 1888.  The town is famous for the Tambo Teddies, this is a business that was created by some local ladies and they make sheepskin teddies.  They were really nice but very expensive.  Below is a sign that it outside the shop, I thought it was quite cute.

The road once again was shocking and the amount of dead animals was just incredible.  We are staying at the Blackall Caravan Park.  We did a quick look around the town this afternoon and then tonight we had a camp over dinner, damper and billy tea which the caravan park put on for $18 per person.  It was really nice and gave us chance to catch up with a few of the other campers, it is good to swap stories with other people (where they have been and where they are going).  Whilst we were sat outside the van this afternoon an old drover came in to the camp riding a beautiful horse.  He came over and spoke to us for about 10 minutes then he did some riding tricks with the horse.  Apparently he goes round the caravan parks putting on a show.

This couple just ride through the park each night
