We had a good day today. Once again gave the car and the van a quick clean. Then after lunch we had a drive into the town. Not a lot to see but it was incredible to think that they were flooded in February this year. We went into the newsagent, supermarket and chemist and the floors were all buckled. The lady in the newsagents was telling us that they are still waiting for the insurance company so that she can fix up her house which is by the river here in Mitchell. Where we are out at the dam it is very dry now but apparently all this land was under water. We had happy hour this afternoon with a couple from Hervey Bay who are travelling the same way that we are. We had a fire again tonight and sat out under the stars, it is a really clear night and not too cold yet.
