We left Burren Junction and drove 161 kms to Lightning Ridge. We arrived here about lunch time. The roads between Burren Junction and here were very undulating and bumpy. Once again there were lots of cotton fields. I actually cut part of a cotton plant that was growing on the side of the road - I am going to dry it and bring it home. My first job was the laundry so whilst Graham set up the van I went down to the laundry. We then had some lunch and both had a really nice, long hot shower before going for a walk into town. We are staying at the Lightning Ridge Outback Resort and Caravan Park - looks okay. We are staying here for four nights. We had a drive out to the Artesian Bath - which is hotter than the others we have been in. It is around 40 degrees. Tomorrow we are going to have a dip. We have planned a few touristy things tomorrow - there seems to be a lot to do around here. No photographs today but I think we will probably make up for it tomorrow.
