We left Neil Turner Weir this morning with the intention of staying overnight in Augathella but when we got there we could not find the camp we wanted to stay at. I put the co-ordinates in the GPS but there was no left turn where it wanted us to turn. (Yes, I had put the co-ordinates in correctly). Anyway we decided to drive through to Tambo.
On the way through we stopped at Morven for morning tea, Morven is an old historic town with a population of about 250. Where we were stopped there was an Historical Museum, which also housed a collection of miniature buildings which were created by a local artist. The replicas included a settlers homestead, mail changing station along with quite a few other buildings. It cost $1 to look through the museum and the other building (well worth it), we were very impressed. Outside the museum there was also a Kerosene Hut, this was built out of flattened Kerosene Cans. Apparently these were built during the depression.

We arrived in Tambo late afternoon and are staying by the Barcoo River. It is only a very small town so before we move on to Blackall tomorrow we will have a look around.
