Drove from Lightning Ridge through to St George. We were going to stay at a free camp but when we got on the road to the camp it was a dirt road for 14 kms and it was badly corrugated. We did drive for about 5 km but then decided it wasn't worth it so we turned round and came into a caravan park on the edge of town. The caravan park is on the Balone River. St George is a much bigger town that we thought. We had a drive into town this afternoon but being Saturday there was nothing open. Before dinner we went for a walk along the river. Other than that we haven't done much today. We did ring Betti for her birthday, she seems to be enjoying her time in UK but the weather has not been very good for her.
