We are staying on a great caravan park here in Black Beach which is about 14 km north of Mackay itself. We arrived here around lunchtime on Sunday and are only staying a couple of nights. We rang Damien for his birthday on Sunday and Graham spoke to the children for Father's Day. We also rang Bill and he was really pleased to hear from us.
On Monday we went into Mackay and had a look round. We were in the city most of the day. There is a Lagoon in the city which is an incredible place. There are three different pools and also a children's play area. We sat by the river and had morning tea then we went and had a look at the boat harbour. It has changed a lot since we were last there about 20 years ago with John and Paula. We did a bit of shopping and then we came back to the van.
