Day 139 - 141 Aug 30 - September 1 - Airlie Beach

We haven't been doing much for the last three days here in Airlie Beach.  The weather has been absolutely perfect so we have spent our time relaxing and reading our books.

Thursday - we had a drive around Airlie Beach having a look at some of the beautiful homes that are built up on the hills with the most magnificent views over the marina.  Then we spent a couple of hours down at the Lagoon.

Friday - we had a drive out to Prosperpine - not a lot there.  Then on the way back to Airlie Beach we drove into Conway Beach and Wilson Beach, about 20 km off the highway.  There is a caravan park at Conway Beach but it is a long way from anywhere.  If you enjoy fishing it is probably a good spot for a couple of days.

Thought this was an interesting map

Saturday - I had to go to the doctors, the sandflies have been attacking me and a couple of the bites are infected.  I think in all I must have about 40 bites.  They are not as bad as mozzie bites but they sure do itch a lot.  We then restocked the groceries, filled the car and got ready to move on tomorrow.  Graham had to wash the awning as we had quite a bit of bird droppings on it.
